Mount Baker is part of the Cascade Mountains in northern Washington and, at 10,778 ft (3,285 m), dominates the landscape for many miles. The mountain sits approximately 30 mi (50 km) east of Bellingham and is considered one of the snowiest places in the world, as well as the most heavily glaciated mountain in the Cascade range.
